Rolling
Once a leukocyte comes into contact with the endothelium, receptors on the surface of the endothlium (P-selectin, E-selectin) and the leukocyte (L-selectin) mediate rolling of the leukocyte. Rolling velocity is slower than the velocity of free flowing leukocytes in the blood vessel.
